7 Things to consider when planning your new kitchen:
- 1. Durability - how long do you expect your new kitchen to last and still look good? Be aware that just as there is a wide range of retailers and price ranges for kitchens available, there is also a wide range of qualities in materials and hardware being used. Potters Kitchens uses quality products to ensure your kitchen looks great for many years.
- 2. Appliances – think about the type and desired location of your appliances. E.g. oven, stove top, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and small bench top appliances. These affect electrical requirements (e.g. the number of required power points), plumbing, ventilation and bench space requirements.
- 3. Cabinetry - Do you want pantries, drawers, adjustable shelving, over-cupboards, display cabinets, wine storage?
- 4. Waste disposal – Think about rubbish bins, waste disposal units, and space for recyclables.
- 5. Accessories – Sink bowls, taps, handles.
- 6. Style - Materials, styles, colours.
- 7. Budget – how much do you want to spend? (see below for estimates of costs)
